Getting Started
Choosing the right hosting plan
Managed vs. self-serve, and how to pick the tier that fits your site — from a single blog to an agency portfolio.
Kinetic Cloud offers two product lines. The first decision is whether you want us to manage your site for you, or whether you’d rather manage it yourself.
Managed vs. self-serve
- Managed WordPress — full-service hosting on a dedicated VPS. We handle updates, backups, security, and performance, with real human support. Choose this if you’d rather focus on your business than your website.
- Premium Shared Hosting — fast, self-serve hosting where you manage your own updates and plugins. Choose this if you’re comfortable running WordPress yourself and want premium performance without a management retainer.
Managed WordPress tiers
| Plan | Best for |
|---|---|
| Basic | Brochure sites and low-traffic blogs |
| Standard | Growing sites that need active monitoring |
| Pro | E-commerce, membership, and mission-critical sites |
Every managed plan includes free migration, a dedicated VPS, and hands-on maintenance. See full details on the Managed WordPress page.
Shared Hosting tiers
| Plan | Best for |
|---|---|
| Core | A single personal site or portfolio |
| Plus | Multiple sites, with SSH, Redis, and the developer toolkit |
| Max | Agencies and resellers — up to 25 sites, Node.js, and white-label reselling |

Still not sure?
A good rule of thumb: if your site is revenue-critical or you don’t want to think about maintenance, go Managed. If you’re a developer or agency who wants control and value, go Shared — you can always upgrade to Managed later. Talk to us and we’ll point you to the right fit.
